Wat Arun is situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river. Also known as the Temple Of Dawn with Its official name as Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan.
You can take the steps part way up the main 79 meter tall Prang where it has wide views of the river and the city in the distance. The full magnificience of Wat Arun can be seen from the other side of the river at dawn, dusk and when it is lit up at night .

The temple is open daily from 8:30am until 5:30pm.

How To Get To Wat Arun
The tourist boat now stops at Wat Arun pier. Another way is on the regular ferry and stop at Tha Tien Peir, then take the 5 baht barge ride directly across the river to the other side. This short barge ride is from another pier immediately next to Tha Tien Pier at the same location from a seperate dedicated entrance booth.
The temple is open daily from 8:30am until 5:30pm.
