KING COBRA SHOW

King Cobra Show in Chiang Mai : Snake Demonstrations and Cobra Encounters in Northern Thailand

The King Cobra Show in Chiang Mai is one of the more unusual attractions found outside the city centre.

Not a big flashy show, but still worth the visit if you are on a local area tour and have a fascination for snakes. There are also a few other reptiles in pens outside.

The King Cobra Show is designed around live snake demonstrations, with a focus on cobras and other snakes found in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

The main attraction is the king cobra which is one of the world’s most famous venomous snakes. The photos below show the types of demonstrations the handlers perform with these deadly creatures.

If you are a family with young children, then this live snake show could be one to avoid. There is a bit of a scare factor introduced into the show by the snake handlers.

Always keep a good distance from the snakes and follow the handlers instructions at all times.

Other nearby attractions to see on a tour of the area is the Siam Insect Zoo and the Butterfly Farm.
